Dental Crowns
Dental Crowns at El Portal Dental Group
One of our many passions is to ensure that our dental work looks and feels most like your natural teeth.
Our porcelain dental crowns ensure that our patients’ teeth appear as good as new. Unlike traditional crowns that show gold or silver in their appearance, porcelain crowns are “pasted on gold” crowns, pasted with porcelain – making them indistinct. These porcelain dental crown treatments can last up to 20 to 30 years, making them a very reliable and effective treatment solution.

When Are Dental Crowns Used?
While bridges are used to replace missing teeth, dental crowns are used for damaged or fractured teeth. If the tooth is damaged but can still be used, a dental crown will often be prescribed.
How Long Does It Take to Fit a Dental Crown?
Dental crown procedures usually require at least two appointments. The first visit will involve the removal of decay, shaping of the tooth, and the fitting of a temporary crown.
The second visit will involve removing the temporary crown and fitting and adjusting the concluding crown. Lastly, the crown will be placed, and your tooth will be renewed!
What Are the Capabilities of Crowns?
Dental crowns and bridges are extremely effective solutions to many dental issues caused by disease, decay, and accidents. Most major tooth problems can be corrected by using one of these techniques. Dental crowns and bridges are known to be long-term solutions to repairing your smile and allowing long-lasting durability.
